My experience with Dr. Blaney is great.  He is a very caring doctor.  He never makes me feel that he is in a rush.  He takes his time and ask questions and gives me the time to respond.  I think that it is important to have a physician that listen's and you get this from Dr. Blaney.  

Dr. Blaney showed me that there are some special people that still care about others.  He is a blessing to me.  He always have positive remarks that keeps me going strong and I am truly blessed to have him as a special doctor.

Dr Blaney is awesome! My first visit, I was so nervous I could barely breathe. Dr Blaney helped me to relax. He sat down and talked to me one on one and made me feel very comfortable. He is, by far, the best doctor that I have ever dealt with. I haven't had my surgery yet, but if the first visits are any indication of his bedside manner and after care, I can rest confidently knowing that I am in good hands! Everyone in his office is terrific. Amy, the patient advocate, is truly an asset to his office. She is so helpful and interacts with every patient. Dr Blaney has a very great staff and network of doctors for pre-surgery testing. The nutritionist and psychologist were wonderful. They also have a very structured aftercare program which sounds promising! I will know more about the totalpackage after my surgery and will then update to include the entire process.

Doctor Blaney and his staff have been great and very helpful to me. I can say enough about the assistance and support I have received. I request information 24/7 and no matter what time I email, I get a response back in less that 30 min...I am so excited about this...

In short, I think that Dr. Blaney is not only a wonderful person, but a wonderful physician as well. From our first meeting, I felt completely at ease and was surprised that he had such an interest in the amount of information that I had gathered before I came to his office. He allowed me to share my knowledge with him, commented on my research and then explained the surgery, it's risks and benefits from beginning to end. Dr. Blaney informed me of support group meetings and encouraged me to attend. His knowledge of WLS and all of the happy patients walking around Augusta are proof positive that his work is fantastic. I have not scheduled my surgery date as of yet; however, I have no doubt that Dr. B's bedside manner will be as great as meeting with him in his office. UPDATE:My surgery went well--Dr. Blaney is as wonderful at the hospital as he is in his office. His laid-back, but informed and in control manner put me at ease. Because of my experience so far, I'd say if you're searching for a doc in this area, I'd recommend him to you any time.
